Think Event | Art
6.11

For the THINK Event on 6 November—an exclusive screening within a stunning location—Think | Cattleya celebrated the director Rä Di Martino and her stylistic approach which characterizes that of the production company itself: an approach that drives, presents, and conveys the work of young filmmakers producing particularly interesting projects.

The evening will also include the presentation of three additional filmmakers upon which the production company will invest their forthcoming energy:

Rino Stefano Tagliafierro, Italian experimental video director. His latest video Beauty has garnered a huge web success, reaching incredible numbers of views on Youtube, Vimeo, and various other social networking sites. A work conceived to seduce and go viral.

Tagliafierro, despite his young age, is already accustomed to success. He brought to life the walls of the Segheria in Milan with four works, an overview of his artistic process beyond BeautyM+A – My_Super8” an animated sequence of 300 photographs, a tragic and magnificent epilogue to beauty.

French director Gioacchino Petronicce’s Pictures, is a contemplation of the photographic process; an eloquent video in stop motion that simulates the selection process of a photographer; a video that plays with time to the rhythm of Clair De Lune by Claude Debussy; a video made with 80,000 photographs taken over the last three years in cities around the world, from his hometown of Toulouse to Paris, from Barcelona to New York city, from Venice to Martinique.

Ending with the exceptional talent of Michael Langan and his experimental short Choros, awarded at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, a chorus of women’s movements, born from a single dancer. It shows us that the result of a creative composition of images can be a magical and stunning experience. The wonderful ghostly images guide us into a surreal and fantastic dimension that charms, rendering us unable to take our eyes off the screen, until the credits have eneded.

These evenings are the expression of the working philosophy of Think | Cattleya: the will to conduct a continuous research, identify directors of particular interest and promote them.

Rino, Gioacchino, and Michael, all of exceptional talent, synthesize the bond between artistic vision and innovation in technical techniques, creating extremely intriguing shorts. After Rä, these directors serve as a further example of how the unit Think | More and Think | Art work by moving the right levers in order to favor projects that create stimuli, reject the obvious and are in constant search for something more.
