In Theatres February ‘Educazione Siberiana’ by Gabriele Salvatores

Educazione Siberiana, the new film directed by Gabriele Salvatores starring John Malkovich, will be released in February, distributed by 01 Distribution. Taken from the eponymous autobiographical novel by Nicolai Lilin, the film evokes the crucial stages of the author’s adolescence, lived during the decline of the USSR in the criminal ghetto of Transnistria, between Moldova and Ukraine, where in the ’30s Stalin deported the irreducible Siberian outlaws. A bewildering world, never told before, where crime is regulated by strict ethics and where honest criminals share the cult of weapons, hatred of the police, and illegal trafficking, without ever violating the sacred codes: no drugs and maximum respect for the disabled and elderly.
